If you follow me on Instagram @kimneyer (my personal account) you have already seen these, but I thought I would share them on the blog, too – especially because they are bigger here! One of my favorite ways to photograph my own kids is to set up a simple activity that I know will make them smile and capture candids of them having a good time. These end up being my favorite images, even more so than any posed shots. They don’t want to sit still for a picture; why force it?
So the other day, after lunch, I made them big hot fudge brownie sundaes and let them go at it while I snapped away (sans shirts of course, I’m not a stain removal master by any means). Micah personalized his sundae with red sprinkles. Now, the final pictures of them laughing are a result of me making fart noises… I totally stoop to that level. I love those giggles.
