I laughed a lot at my shoot with these girls tonight. It is so fun for me to work with kids and the challenge of “catching” those wonderful fleeting moments is part of what has me hooked, I think. Particularly when photographing the 3 and under crowd, it seems like I always get the best shots at the very end, when they’ve warmed up to the idea (at least a little bit) of having their picture taken. But still, I have to be so fast, and that is one thing that comes a lot easier to me now than it did five years ago. I’ve developed a quick focus & shutter reflex… haha! So the moral of the story is… if you can’t “catch” them, keep trying (and get faster).
